Cara is a pediatrician, consultant, speaker and New York Times best-selling author of multiple books including The Care and Keeping of You series with more than 6 million copies in print. She graduated from Harvard, John Hopkins Medical School, and UCSF, and became a leading voice in puberty and adolescent health. It took her own daughter starting puberty, though, for Cara to fully appreciate that there's no company dedicated to making body changes more comfortable. So she got together with Julie and started one.
Julie has been in the entertainment business for over 20 years, most recently overseeing film publicity at Netflix. She has worked in publicity and marketing leadership roles at Lionsgate, Disney and Miramax, where she was instrumental in over a hundred Academy Award campaigns. Julie is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures and has served on the board of the New York Women's Foundation.
Muriel founded SWRVE Apparel in 2005, running the entire operation from product development to production management. At OOMLA, she takes charge of all production and operations.
Zofia has been working in shapewear and lingerie for 25 years, with expertise in product development and technical design. She is our master pattern maker, turning OOMLA ideas into insanely comfortable prototypes.
John was the CEO of apparel company MOSHAY, Inc. before founding brand agency Something Massive. He brings to OOMLA a deep knowledge of what plays in the consumer market.
Parisa has been painting and drawing since the age of four. After graduating with her BFA, she studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, specializing in textile design. Now she gets to be creative every day, painting prints and patterns for different fashion brands.
Lina holds a degree in Human Biology and Public Health from USC. For several years, she has used social platforms like TikTok and Instagram to message about health and wellness, a natural springboard into leading the social media marketing and creative efforts for OOMLA.
A pre-med student at Yale studying Neuroscience, Isabella's skills range from interpreting bench research and to messaging health. At OOMLA, she plays a central role in marketing, creative efforts, and Gen X outreach.
A creative and activist for gender equality, Talia spends her time engaging in community service, writing stories, and teaching sewing lessons. Her interests perfectly align with her work at OOMLA, where she helps organize mask donations to non-profits through the 1:1 program.
A vegetarian by choice since the age of seven and a strong advocate for social justice, Raya plans to study marketing, economics and computer science after graduating high school.
