💦 Handwashing is extra gentle, a win for bras!
💦 Just fill a sink, bucket, or even big bowl with warm* water.
💦 Then drop a few drops of laundry detergent onto your OOMBRA and lather until suds form.
💦 No detergent? No problem! You can use a gentle bar soap instead.
💦 Feel free to pre-soak your OOMBRA for a few minutes in the soapy water – or not!
💦 Either way, after lathering, rinse with clean warm water (running from the tap works great).
💦 Last step: gently wring out the excess water and get ready to dry.
*for deep brown OOMBRAs, you can go cooler with your water
💦 If you’ve got a mesh laundry bag, you can place your OOMBRA in there… but you certainly don’t have to!
💦 Wash your OOMBRA in a load with similar colors. Dark loads often get washed in cold water; lighter loads go warm. The OOMBRA loves both, but it’s not into super-hot temps.
💦 Use your regular detergent but steer clear of bleach and fabric softeners.
💦 Run the washer on “normal” or “gentle” cycle – both work well.
💦 Once the load is done, if your OOMBRA was in a mesh bag, you can remove it now.
💨 If you want to hang dry, go for it!
💨 If you’re into flat-drying, lay your OOMBRA flat on a towel, let it dry, and voila!
💨 Automating with a dryer? That works, too! Just keep the temps down (“warm” is as hot as you want to go) and the cycle “low” or “gentle.”
✅ You don’t need to wash your OOMBRA – or any bra – after every wear. Just check 2 things:
👃 SMELL CHECK! Give it a quick sniff to check that it’s odor-free.
👀 LOOK CHECK! Take a peek at both sides of your OOMBRA to make sure it’s got no stains – especially the armpits.
✅ Factoid that’s great to know: Unless you’ve been sweating it up, most bras do not need to be washed after one wear. And a little less washing extends the bra’s lifespan.
